Repair and troubleshooting
WordPress website repair
Is your site down, showing an error, or no longer working the way it should? I find the source of the fault, fix it safely, and verify the site is genuinely working again.
The faults I handle
A site that will not load at all, or returns a server error (500, 503, "error establishing a database connection").
A WordPress critical error — the message that appears instead of the site or instead of the dashboard.
A blank white screen, or a site that broke immediately after a core, theme or plugin update.
Conflicts between plugins, or between a plugin and the theme — including identifying which one is responsible.
Forms that do not send, failing payments, or a cart and checkout flow that stopped working.
Broken display — shifted design, overlapping elements or a layout that broke on desktop or mobile.
SSL and certificate problems, broken redirects, or domain, DNS and hosting faults.
A hacked site that redirects elsewhere, displays spam, or contains malicious code injected into its files.
What to send so we can start quickly
- The website address
- A screenshot of the error, or of the screen you are seeing
- When the problem started — an approximate date and time
- What changed just before it: an update, a new plugin, a hosting change or an edit on the site
- Whether the site is down for everyone, or only for you
- Access details for the dashboard and hosting — only once we have agreed on the work
Full details in your first message may shorten the diagnosis and the billed working time.
How it works
- Receiving the details and the fault
- Diagnosis and locating the source
- Presenting the findings and agreeing the work with you
- A backup before touching anything, as far as the situation allows
- Carrying out the repair
- Desktop and mobile testing, and confirming the site works again
What it costs
$75 per hour
Minimum half-hour charge
For wider faults or more complex work, a separate quote based on scope, given to you for approval before any work begins.
- I cannot commit to a repair time before seeing the fault. After the diagnosis you get a realistic estimate, and only then does the work begin.
- This is a repair service during working hours — not a 24/7 emergency desk.
- On hacked sites the scope becomes clear only after inspection. A site that was merely cleaned may be compromised again if the way in was never found and closed, and hosting work or a restore from backup is sometimes required too.
FAQ
How long does a repair take?
It depends entirely on the fault. A single isolated problem can be finished in under an hour, while a hacked site or a hosting failure can take considerably longer. I will not commit to a time before seeing the problem — after the diagnosis you get a realistic estimate.
Is there emergency cover at night or on weekends?
No. This is a repair service during working hours, not a 24/7 emergency desk. If your site is business-critical and you need wider availability, it is better to say so upfront so we can look at what fits.
What if the problem turns out to be the hosting?
If the fault turns out to be with the hosting, I will explain what was found and what needs to happen with the provider. Diagnosis time is billed at the hourly rate, and any further work is carried out only after you approve it.
My site was hacked. Can you just clean it?
Cleaning is only part of the work. You also have to find how they got in, close that hole, replace passwords and keys, and check no back doors were left behind. A site that was only "cleaned" may be compromised again if the way in was never found and closed.
I have a backup. Should I just restore it?
Sometimes — but never before saving a copy of the current state. A restore erases everything since the backup, and if the fault was already present, it simply comes back. It is worth diagnosing first.
And once the site is working again
If the fault came from neglect — an outdated core and plugins, no backups, no monitoring — DreamFast Care is worth considering. It is a separate monthly maintenance service for a site you already own; it is not a condition for the repair and not part of it.

Send the problem for review
The more you include — the address, exactly what you see and when it started — the shorter the diagnosis.
